This worldwide print job was booked through pictures I took myself and sent to my agent last minute. I happen to have the perfect hair length and jawline for the job. This is just a higher power working for me. I never went to an audition. Thankfully I answered my agent's last-minute call and had a digital camera and computer available and ready to email my pictures to my agent. This was before the time of smartphones that have high-resolution cameras in them.
At the photo shoot, the client was so grateful to have me there. He said that he had gone through 5,000 pictures looking for someone who matched the character in the video game. The client could not stop thanking me, he must have been a serious deadline to meet.
The game went on to win the best adventure game at the E3 video game conference and the company had big plans for me to travel to promote the game as the character in the game named “Rico” but that did not happen. I imagine that it would have been lots of fun traveling the world to promote the video game.
